NJIT Health Services by CityMD Urgent Care will officially open August 5, 2024
Beginning on August 5, 2024, NJIT Health Services by CityMD Urgent Care will officially open its doors on the first floor of Maple Hall. The center will offer efficient and high-quality health care for all NJIT students, faculty and staff.
Students may continue to visit the St. Michael's Primary Care Clinic until June 30, 2024.
Special note to students:
The current agreement with St. Michael’s Primary & Specialty Care Clinic will end on June 30, 2024. However, to ensure uninterrupted access to medical services for students during this transition period, we are pleased to offer alternative options. From July 1 to August 5, students will have the opportunity to utilize telehealth services provided by CityMD or visit the off-campus CityMD Urgent Care located at 617 Broad Street in Newark, N.J. A co-payment fee will be collected at the time of service. We recommend that you call the member services number on the back of your insurance card to ask about coverage and copayment fees for urgent care visits.

Services Offered:
CityMD offers a full range of services for NJIT students, faculty and staff including illnesses, injuries, lab tests, vaccinations, and women’s health services. Common services include:
- Allergies and asthma
- Bronchitis
- Coughs and colds
- COVID-19
- Cuts and wounds
- Dehydration
- Influenza (flu)
- Insect bites
- Headaches
- Minor burns
- Physical exams
- Rapid lab tests & screenings (including COVID-19, STDs, HIV, strep, pregnancy, etc.)
- Sinus infections
- Sore throat
- Skin conditions, including rash or irritation
- Sprains & strains
- Urinary tract infections (UTIs)
- Vaccinations, including flu
Hours of Operation:
- Monday 8am - 4pm
- Wednesday 11am - 7pm
- Thursday 8am - 4pm
What to Bring to Your Visit:
- NJIT Identification card
- Insurance Identification card
